@mccplaymakers It’s LuPone. And taking a picture with the flash on is horrendously distracting to the actors and can really mess them up, especially during a climactic moment of the show. This isn’t like a movie. You don’t just have to be conscious of annoying other patrons.

Hugh Jackman (unlike Patti Dupont) stopped the show for an appropriate thing. A ringing cellphone distracts the audience and the actor. Taking a picture isn’t a big deal. Go Hugh!

LOL at the “stepping on their bag, trying to smash their phone..” HAHa, I’ve actually experienced doing that once, during an exam. So mortifying…but afterwards it just seemed so hilarious.

people making a video in the theatre doesn’t bother me, if anything it’s free advertising for the show, people will want to see it live anyway, that’s why it’s THEATRE….it also isn’t intusive..CELL PHONES however : people who don’t turn out their cell phones during a show should be kicked out of the theatre ASAP by the ushers…I hate the idiots who think theatre is like going to the cinema..being disconneceted from the rest of the world for two hours won’t kill you!!

I hate it when cells go off in the movie theater and someone ’s went off last night during a steady rain. It went off once and thank god they turned it off…before i jumped out of my seat and beat the hell out of them. Hugh is right, going to the theater is expensive and you come to watch the show, if u want to talk on your phone..then stay the hell home. Have respect to other patrons and to the actors.

Besides…I saw the clip of the Mobile Phone Incident…
How exactly did they get Jeff Foxworthy to sub for Daniel Craig, and no one seemed to notice?
My guess is…Daniel was in the audience….and it was HIS PHONE!
That Poor Schmuck thought he could “phone it in”!
Don’t belive me? Ask Pierce Brosnan, he told me so…
Ok…so it was the wrong “Pierce Brosnan”, SO WHAT? The guy told me so, and he LOOKED honest, SO….THERE!

In days of old
When people were bold
And cellphones weren’t invented
They shit their load
In the middle of the road
And went away contented.
