Android soon has the power to rule all phones. Why? Because if androids market share is the biggest nobody can defeat them. Just like windows. It isn’t any better then OS-X but.. it has the biggest market share. That’s why people want windows. So all programs work and family and friends have windows too. Android already has the biggest OS share in the US.. Soon in europe

I couldve got the Captivate but settled for iPhone 4 for me… I didn’t want to lose my apps I spent and such. If i wasnt too attached with the iphone id definitely get a Galaxy S or any good android. Love both OSs in their own ways.

There’s no battle between these two devices because the iPhone 4 is unusable due to the proximity sensor issue. It’s completely unreliable because the phone will mute itself, turn on the speaker during conversations and cheek-dial half of the time. All this coming from an Apple fanboy that has had every iPhone since its inception, owns a MacBook Pro, a MacBook and a Mac Mini. I now own a Captivate and it’s flawless.

@Kobesbestfriend 5inch screen!? It won’t fit in most pockets! What the hell, it’s like the phone companies are maximizing screens today!

not having a flash on the camera is kind of breaking the deal for me because i just returned an iphone 4 due to proximity sensor issues

@Leethellama ……….Its not the captivate that can do its its Android devices I have a Droid X you don’t have to be rude and we are talking solid apps not emulated games because then they are just ports. I’m talking like game built for that platform….)Also i’m a Android fan thank you But when it comes to talking about tech I don’t pretend what things are superior.

@Leethellama The captivate can play any nes game, any sega genesis game, any psx game as well as other consoles with out hacking (which you have to do with the iphone just to play them) plus it has one of the best gpu’s in the market today. Thanks for playing have a nice day.

@spoonerdee No it does not what? Have more games and or better games? I can point out 20 high profile games that android does not have.

@xxaznjazonxx The captivate is much more suited for gaming then the POS Iphone. I used to own an iphone btw before all the haters chime in.

@fightblade10 I have tried every which way to get a death grip on my phone and the best I can do is lose 1-2 bars at most with covering and touching almost every inch of the phone.

I’ve been an iphone user since the first version. It’s a good phone. But I got sick and tired of all the proprietary cables that you have to buy just to charge the thing. And don’t get stuck in an airport with it. I was in O’Hare for 6 hours last week. You will notice all the outlets are used up by IPHONES. I just bought the Captivate with an extra battery. I get a solid smartphone and I don’t have to be a slave to the power outlet. Captivate wins for me on that alone!

I don’t think comparing them after dropping them 4 feet is a good idea…considering that i guess they both performed well, a windows phone wouldn’t have turned on again.
