Samsung debuted the Galaxy S Android smartphone today at CTIA 2010. This phone is definitely an iPhone killer! The Galaxy S features a high resolution Super AMOLED screen that promises to work excellently in direct sunlight. Plus it includes SmartLife! revision3.com

@13ulldogs yeah right…even if the iOS can’t do sh*t, you’d still buy it. Even if it doesn’t support flash, you’d still buy it. Even if it drops calls, you’d still buy it. Even if it can’t do REAL multitasking, you’d still buy it. Even if other manufacturers release better phones with better OS, you’d still buy it.

deifintely an iPhone killer. Hummingbird 1GHz KILLS the A4. Super AMOLED gives a better “overall” experience of movies and pictures than Retina Display. Android market has enough apps SO, the iPhone killer is HERE! However, the one thing that i didnt like about the galaxy s is its 720p video. its good but not THAT good. not saying that the iPhone is better, just saying that its not good enough

@Lynas007 well I understand you, I would chose the galaxy, because of the bigger screen, more vivid colors/contrast of amoled display, and the better price/performance ratio
look, both are good phones, similiar to eachother, personal prefences count at the end, as you said
for me display and price are very important, for an other man the apple logo is important, for me not

@Gellande “you copy good things” There you go, right there. It’s not really about which phone is better, it’s personal preference at the end of the day. What bugs me is that people just copy crap instead of coming up with fresh original ideas. As for the iphone having a dull screen, no it hasn’t, at all. IMO, this is just a cheap copy of the iPhone idea. I like the way the video at 2:00 lags and they quit it out.

@UGOdude0 Evo’s video sucks ass. It’s is terrible for 720p All HTC’s have weak mics. I had a G1 and pretty much hated taking video. Hopefully the Vibrant will be better.

What makes me laugh is that EVERY phone is imitating the iPhone. This looks like a fatter 3GS. Even the home screen 1:24 (Clock screen buttons look like iOS), 1:08 looks like any iOS 4 page. HD movie recording? Yawn. I’ve got an iPhone 4 and it hasn’t dropped ANY calls yet. Screen looks nice but retina is still higher resolution. Would I buy a Samsung? Nope. Crap copied hardware. No one remembers the samsung Tocco? And you’re buying this? Good luck! I’ll enjoy my stainless steel iPhone 4.
