the galaxy will have flash and it is officially announced to have froyo 2.2! At&t will call this phone as the captivate with keyboard. Sprint will call it the Epic 4G with keyboard. Tmobile will call the Vibrant with the movie Avatar in it. Verizon will call it the fascinate little is known about it. Don’t get me wrong, all will be able to upgrade to froyo. Info got by pcworld.com

Can you remove the Samsung UI overlay and get the stock Android OS on this phone from the settings?
Because I know you can do it with HTC Sense phones, and I like stock Android Eclair and I dont really like the Samsung Bada-like overlay.
If it is changeable, please let me know because then I’ll get this phone when it comes to Verizon as the Samsung Fascinate.

I think it’s a very interesting phone
Ok, it has no LED flash, and that really sucks but that doesn’t mean that the phone is bad. At least I would buy it!

@jumbosal definitely tmobile. . . i just called to terminate my contract to purchase a iphone. The transferred me to an account specialist (aka talk you out of leaving specialist). He guaraunteed the Galaxy S would be on tmobile in the next few months. Even told me to not but the nexus one. . .b/c the galaxy would be coming immediately. Even game me a full upgrade on the phone.
So either he just told me a straight up lie. . . or they know exactly when it’s coming out but can’t say.

i really like the icons that samsung made for this phone, but i dont like how they would remove the app drawer to replace it with a dock to make it look like an iphone
3:00 pm on June 30th, 2010
@jumbosal No AT&T is getting it first but all major carriers in the US are supposed to get this version

@rigo89peru if you are referring to adobe’s flash then just wait till 2.2. If you’re talking about a camera flash then you’re a retard. It’s a phone!!!!!!!! if you want a camera go and buy a decent D SLR.
