I bought this phone with T-Mobile 2 year contract. Before buying anything, I called amazon cell phone customer service line and explained what kind of phone I want. Basically, I asked if there is a phone that allows you to search the Internet without having to buy the data plan. There is wireless at work and home, so I do not want to pay for the Internet connection a second time. The representative of the Amazon, said that if I buy this phone (since it has Wi-Fi compatibility), I would not need the data plan. I would be able to connect to the Internet if there is an available wireless connection. He trusted the “expert of the Amazon” and ordered arrived this teléfono.Después phone, I tried to find Wi-Fi function of compatibility and how you can connect to the internet without a data plan. But I could not understand, so I called amazon customer service again. This time I said I would need the data plan to connect to the Internet and the representative said he knew nothing about the Wi-Fi compatibility. I asked to speak with their supervisor or someone who has more knowledge about these cell phones. He did speak to others, but said nothing different. I explained to one of his advisers recommended this phone and that is why I bought it. They said they would find the telephone conversation, dial and call (or e-mail) me back in 24 hours. This was more than a week ago! Do not trust Amazon. com, do your own research, your cell phone called “experts” do not seem to know much and give the wrong advice.
