i have this phone and the screen is awsome like a portable blue ray lol the 3d graphics are awsome 2 specially when you play games and the camera is very good.
the hd camera could ve been better or at least full hd but its a high definition so thats something
the only downside of the phone id say is the os
symbian is not as strong least for now with the iphone and droid. There are only few games to install and few apps.
but as a media device is almost perfect like the ipod touch

Im on AT&T and with “unlocked” phones like this, they cant reconize the phone so they cant tie you to a data plan. But what the point if you cant use the data the phone is capable of?

i have the original omnia and i’m seriously impressed with this new hd version. i hope it comes out serviced by verizon but will definitely try it out before i buy. loved the review!!!

The one thing I would really like if this does come out to verizon is that they put new applications. Verizon is known for not putting effort into there phones once they are released, I own the LG Dare and it is great don’t get me wrong, but the problem is that there is no free applications. I mean there are, but once you get it you need to buy other thing in it to use it or make it fictional, If verizon just keep upgrading this and add application then it might be a threat for the Iphone

3g is 3g and should be available on similar price plans whether from a phone or laptop dongle. A laptop dongle has allsorts of plans up to 2Gb for £20

But to prove how shortsighted and behind Orange are, they can’t understand a phone like the HD could use more than 500Mb (just 3 hours Youtube).

Sensibly want to buy another 500Mb for another £5? You can’t do it. Its another 80p/ Mb. (£400)

Buy a dongle and you can get 20Gb for a sensible price, but nothing above 500Mb on mobile. : (

So the first 500Mb is £5, the next 500Mb (@ 80p/Mb afai uderstand) costs another £400!!!.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but this is the cost I’ve been given from web / phone sources, and there have been people charged £80 – > £100 for going over (lost the threads, sorry, but these were definate real complaints from people who didn’t realise they’d gone over 500Mb).

Meanwhile, you can get a free PCdongle where you can get > Gbs for £20.

Orange Uk are absolute arseholes. I’ve wasted hours trying work out their plans because their website and telesales don’t understand the score. Here’s the pathetic deal:

Other providers offer ‘unlimited access’ for the same price or a little more, but you can get up to 3Gb (6x) for an extra couple quid elsewhere.

If you really want this phone, like me, there is NO WAY of getting over 500Mb without paying about £1 per meg extra.

What’s the point of having that exciting Youtube button on the widgets when Orange (only UK provider) cap their monthly 3g @ 500Mb? I’ve used more than half that amount surfing Youtube over the last 90 minutes : (
