How does built-in wireless connection work in a laptop?
May/103

I understand that I can get wireless internet if my laptop has a wireless card built during the time I’m in a “hot spot” where I get the connection from radio waves. How true is that? I have the intention of getting a laptop, but I’m not sure where we live now is actually a “hotspot” or what I could use it to surf the net regularly? We have broadband internet for our desktop now, but I do not want a wireless router connected to which is connected to my work or the company s computer, wired network I hope the best for that. If a provider of DSL or cable Internet in our area, which will give you a great possibility that I will be able to get a good signal for the wireless laptop connection to the Internet? Where built-in wireless cards get their signals anyway? Is it possible that I will be receiving a wireless signal from other people? Can someone explain this to me? I’m confused. Thank you!
