How do I get my HTC Hero to generate a wifi signal my pc can pickup?

HTC’s hero I have is that running the Android operating system version of firmware 1. 5 (because I live in Alaska and we are behind the rest of the U.S. telecommunications technology for about 18 months). . I have internet and tied to my pc using the mini USB cable, but there is a way to provide wireless internet?
Not just the Lakers game, but this Samsung TV that sucks in web content (weather / news / sports) which displays on-top of Live (content is generate by the TV, not the set-top box. Ethernet plugs into the back just like an AV cable). Rad.
