Learn more here: bit.ly The Samsung Galaxy S 2 comes loaded with TouchWiz 4.0, Samsung’s competitor to HTC Sense and Motorola Blur for Android. TouchWiz impacts every aspect of the operating system, from the email app and browser, to the homescreens, app tray, notification shade, and settings. In this video we take a look at what Samsung has done with their latest Android replacement. To start, they’ve changed the way you move items from homescreen to homescreen by introducing a gesture that allows you to use the gyroscope to move through the homescreens without having to tap and drag items to the edges of the screen. Also, the widget menu is now a horizontally scrolling list, not a vertical one found in most other Android interfaces. Speaking of widgets, Samsung has added a wide variety of widgets, many of which can be resized. Widgets include weather, analog and digital clocks, celenader, note pad, task manager, and much more. You can have up to seven homescreens, which is managed by entering the zoomed-out homescreen view, accessible by a pinch gesture from the homescreen. Beyond the homescreens, the app tray has been spruced up. The paginated app tray can be customized with new additional pages, folders, and icons in different places. In terms of settings, Samsung has given the user the ability to change the system font, which is a nice touch. In terms of input, you can use the default Samsung keyboard (which is usable in a T9-like pad or full QWERTY), plus there is

The Motorola Pro+ is a follow up model of the Droid Pro/Motorola Pro which we were not treated to in the UK last time around. So, this is new for me, though many of our US readers will have handled the older device. This time around we get Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread sitting on a 3.1-inch touch screen. Underneath this sits a physical QWERTY keypad, similar to those that BlackBerry users zoom through their texting & emailing tasks. On the inside we are treated to a 1GHz processor and 4GB of onboard storage, with a 5 megapixel camera around the back. Check out the video above for an unboxing & product tour of this business oriented device. Does this mix of physical keys alongside a touch screen really work? Let me know what you think in comments.

MobileBurn.com – AT&T is the second major carrier in the US to release a version of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, following Sprint and its Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. AT&T’s version is much more faithful to the original, global edition than Sprint’s is, as it features the same 4.3-inch, WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution Super AMOLED display and square corners as the global model. It is powered by the same 1.2GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor as the others, and features 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The AT&T Galaxy S II has the same 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, as well as the same 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera will record 1080p HD video. Like the others, AT&T’s model runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Samsung’s TouchWiz 4 interface, though there are some minor differences between it and the version of TouchWiz on the Sprint model. AT&T will be releasing the Galaxy S II on October 2 for $199.99 with a new two-year contract. More info: www.mobileburn.com
